The key to choosing the width of the strips from which we are to make the curtain, is the way of use and the height of the curtain. Where there is mainly pedestrian traffic and not very intensive goods traffic using pallet trucks or other hand trucks, it is optimal to use a 200 mm wide foil. For openings with forklift traffic or other internal combustion or electric drives, 300 mm wide strips are necessary. In the case of openings with a height above 2500 mm, it is also worth considering using a 300 mm wide foil due to its lower susceptibility to stretching/elongation under the influence of its own weight.

Standard PVC foil, thanks to its wide temperature range from -15°C to +50°C, is perfect as a universal strip curtain for industrial doors in shops, warehouses or production halls. It can be used both inside and outside. Polar PVC foil is suitable for use in low temperatures. Its resistance range extends from -30°C to +30°C, which is why it is used in cold stores and freezers. It can also be used in external loading gates to protect the facility from low temperatures in winter. Due to its properties, it is not recommended to use it at higher temperatures - in such conditions, the "viscosity" of the material increases rapidly, which makes movement through this type of curtain difficult.

We offer slings/mounting systems made of two types of material. Galvanized steel is a cheaper material, sufficient for standard applications, especially indoor, dry and non-aggressive environment. Stainless steel slings are better for outdoor applications, in cold and freezing chambers, agricultural livestock rooms, meat cutting rooms, industrial rooms with a more aggressive atmosphere or wherever, regardless of the slightly higher initial price, we want high durability of mounting elements.

An important parameter of the curtain is the strip overlap used. It has a fundamental influence on the insulation value. The more the adjacent strips overlap, the more the curtain is "tight" and prevents air exchange between the separated spaces. However, passing through such curtain requires the use of greater force and the amount of foil needed to make it increases.
