Crankcase heater for refrigeration and air conditioning compressors. Designed to protect them in winter against phenomena that have an adverse effect on the lubrication of moving parts in the compressor by foaming of the oil, worsening its lubricating properties. On the other hand, in the case of a longer stoppage of the compressor in low ambient temperature, the phenomenon of high condensation of the oil may occur, which at the time of start-up hinders proper lubrication. The crankcase heater protects against these unfavorable phenomena by maintaining a constant (or periodically setting a minimum oil temperature in the compressor crankcase).
