Refrigerant R-452A (Opteon XP44) is a zeotropic mixture with the following composition : 59% R125; 30% R1234yf and 11% . It is a new generation of refrigerant, developed due to environmental concerns. It is used as a replacement for R404A and R507 refrigerants and its greatest advantage is that it has about 45% less impact on the formation of the greenhouse effect. Due to its thermodynamic parameters (including low discharge end temperature), R452A is mainly used in refrigeration transport. It is also used in low- and medium-temperature refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial facilities and in chillers.
